Postby Indys on Mon May 09, 2005 2:14 pm

The Administration & Moderator team of are pleased to provide this set of rules to help the guests and members of have a baseline for what is appropriate and not appropriate for posting and chatting. Accordingly, please take the time to read the official rules.

  1. Considering the real-time nature of this message board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of or any entity associated with The individual member remains solely responsible for the content of their messages, and as a potential poster, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless,, and their agents and employee’s with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
  2. Any member whom feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify us immediately by pressing the "Report this post to the moderators of this forum" button (depending on the style you are using, it will look similar to Image) which is located on every post on the right hand side of the post header. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. Oh, yeah, and it's up to us to decide whether to actually do anything about a particular complaint...but rest assured that you will get an explanation if we disagree.
  3. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will maintain a valid email address for your account. Hushmail is not supported on
  4. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use or it's affiliates, to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise a violation of any law.
    • Defamation of site and staff - We reserve the right to deny membership to any person that has defamed the site or any staff member in any medium either on Indys or outside of Indys.
    • Knowingly false and/or defamatory - If you know it's a lie, or an untrue put-down, then don't post it.
    • Inaccurate - Same sort of thing. Although, in practice, if you post something about - for the sake of example - Providers Hours and it turns out to be wrong, no one is going to come after you with the editing pen. If you are doing your best to help someone, then that's great, it's one of things the site is here for.
    • Abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing - This is where the whole "Personal Attack" thing stems from. I'm sure we can all think of a thread just recently where this has come into play. Basically, don't start on each other! If you disagree, that's fine. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and that's what makes for good debate. But make it personal and it goes. Make it insulting, and it goes. You get the idea. Phrases such as "In my humble opinion..." (or "IMHO..."); "With all due respect..."; and "The way I look on it.." are fine. (So long as you don't then put "you are talking out of your ass..."). Phrases like "I hate all blondes, they are all ..."; "You are an utter idiot"; etc.etc.etc. are not. Attacks on particular sections of society are also covered by this all know what I'm talking about here, I won't spell it out...
    • Obscene, profane - The problem is, what do you classify as "obscene" or "profane"? Well...for the record, the Oxford Dictionary definition of these two words are as follows...

      (1) Obscene - Indecent in a repulsive or very offensive way.

      (2) Profane - adj. Irreverent, blasphemous. vb. To treat a thing with irreverence or lack of due respect.

Helpful, isn't it? At this point, it is largely down to the individual Admin's/Mod's discretion. It's up to us to draw our own boundaries and be as individually consistent as we can - we are only human, after all... Basically, if it falls even vaguely under the above definition, then we are perfectly within our rights to edit it...if we don't, it's because we're feeling nice that day!
    • Threatening - I won't insult your intelligence by explaining that one.
    • Invasive of a person's privacy - This basically means posting things about people on the Forums which they may not want made full names; addresses; phone no's.; pictures; details of their private lives; etc.etc.etc. If people want to put their own contacts on, that's fine, but don't go spreading anyone else's about...
    • Otherwise a violation of any law - If it's illegal, it goes. If it's encouraging others to do something illegal, it goes. You get the gist.
  5. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or if and/or affiliates, owns the copyright. Although we do not and cannot review the messages prior to being posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages. All site content is © the date of the posting as intellectual property, all rights reserved, unless explicitly designated otherwise. You also agree not to post any images or image links in the signature line, or your posts, outside of provider advertisement forums, they will be pulled at the mod teams discretion. Your signature line must be less than 10 lines long. Please be considerate of other's reading experience. There are ways to advertise within the rules simply contact an administrator for those options.
  6. We reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold and it's affliates, harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
  7. Information shared publicly by the users here, will not to be used for mass mailings or for use in establishing a competitive organization.
  8. Postings made by management of another site, which are geared to move community membership from the global forums to their own site, are deemed advertising and will be removed without recourse.
  9. Please note that chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on these forums and will be deleted immediately with no further explanation. Advertisements are appropriate only in those forums specifically intended for such (i.e. the Provider Advertisements Forums and The Garage in The Gathering Place).
  10., in providing this service:

    • Retains the right to use posts from the forum on the main site ( in promoting the forum.
    • realizes that name changes may be necessary from time to time for UTR and/or legal reasons. Accordingly, reserves the right to administratively track member name changes on the board.
    • Reserves the right to offer premium "free" and "paid" services and subscriptions for usage of certain site functions, including but not limited to Photo Directory Placement, Banner Advertising, Provider Plus services, Featured Provider services, Member Moderated Forums and Vouch Plus.
    • "Paid" services and subscriptions may be paid for with a combination of both Indybux and Cash via the Donation link. One (1) dollar is equal to one hundred (100) Indybux.
  11. In the event a member decides to have their membership removed, there will be a thirty (30) day waiting period before the member can rejoin again. The member will lose all received vouches upon leaving the board, and all posts made by the member will be left on the board, unless they need to be removed due to safety/UTR and/or legal reasons. If the member rejoins, they will have their posts re-associated to their new (same) membername. In addition, the user will forfeit their indybux back to the site.
  12. allows for up to twenty-four (24) hours for a provider to edit and/or delete an advertisement post (as opposed to 'bumping' the advertisement). In all other forums, you are allowed to edit/delete a post for up to one (1) hour after it has been posted. This is to prevent flaming on the board and then removing your post after you've made a statement. After one (1) hour has passed, the poster will need to contact the support staff (at to have the post edited and/or removed. Note - this rule does NOT apply in the "Behind the Woodshed" or "The Stump" forums. Posts cannot be edited in those forums as they are unmoderated. If you do need to change a post, you will need to contact an administrator.
  13. If a post is found to be in violation, will either edit out the offending material or delete the post and/or the thread entirely. A warning e-mail and/or PM will be sent to the offending user/poster. Such violations, when accrued by a user, can lead to the removal of that user’s privileges to post on the forums.
  14. Users will be contacted by email and/or PM of abuse of the guidelines. If the user then continues’ to abuse the guidelines/rules, he/she will be informed that his/her posting rights can and may be removed. In addition, Administrators and Moderators can issue 1 to 10 "yellow cards" for each infraction. If a user reaches 10 yellow cards, the user will be banned. "Yellow Cards" can be retracted at the discretion of the administrative team for "good behavior" and/or nature of the violation.
  15. Vouching for providers can only be done by Vouched Clients; vouching for hobbyists can only be done by Vouched Providers and Vouched Agencies. A Vouched Provider, Vouched Agency and Vouched Client is defined as a member with three (3) vouches, and those vouches have been verified by the Admin staff and/or the Site Owner. Admins review all 3rd vouches manually. Vouches may be added or revoked by the Administrators. If a provider / hobbyist loses their vouch status, the corresponding hobbyist(s) / provider(s) that were vouched by that member will lose their vouch status as well. More information on the vouching process is available by [ clicking here ].
  16. Vouching and being vouched is a privilege of Accordingly, vouches may be added, changed or removed by the vouch originator, the vouched individual and/or the administrative team only. Members will need to PM an administrator to request the removal of a vouch - you are not required to give a reason - but once revoked, you cannot request to have the vouch reinstated.
  17. The Indys staff hierarchy consists of the Site Owner, Senior Administator, Administators, and Moderators. Most of the decision making amongst the Staff takes place away from public view. Just because you may not be able to see something returning or a review being requested, doesn't mean that nothing is happening. The following is a description of the Indys Staff Heirarchy (or who does what):
    • Moderator - This is our "first line of defense". Moderators look after specific forums, and edit out anything which obviously breaks the rules in them. If they are unsure they ask someone higher up the chain to take a look and give a second opinion. This may or may not include removing the thread/post concerned to a private area ("The Recycle Bin") to be reviewed, depending on the contents.
    • Senior Administrator / Administrator - Admins are higher in the chain of command than Moderators and can overule their decisions if they feel that is necessary. whilst they may also serve as Moderators on specific Forums, they have the power to edit and delete material anywhere on the site. Admins may reinstate threads from the Recycle Bin if they have been asked to review them and decide that they can be edited then returned. If an Admin is unsure about something they either spot themselves or are asked by a Moderator to review, then they may decide to move it to the Recycle Bin for review by the whole Admin/Moderator team. The Administrative staff can also impose sanctions including loss of site feature use or banning on members who violate the site rules. The Admins also reserve the right to review and agree with or override decisions made by the Moderator staff.
    • Site Owner - This is where the buck stops. Again, the Site Owner(s) may Moderate a specific Forum, but they have ultimate say over what is or is not edited/deleted anywhere on the forums. They review material placed in the Recycle Bin for this purpose and decide whether it may be reinstated or not. The Site Owner has the final say on any decision made on this board, and like the Administrative staff, may impose sanctions including loss of site feature use or banning on members who violate the site rules. The Site Owner also reserves the right to review and agree with or override decisions made by the Moderator and Administrative staff. The Site Owner is also responsible for the selection of the Moderator and Administrative staff and may add, update, and remove Moderators and Admins as the site requires.

In addition, has Photo Moderators and Event Planners that serve as Moderators of specific functional areas of
  18. Any decisions made by the site Moderators, Administrators, Senior Administator, and/or the Site Owner are FINAL. In conjunction with that, any post found to be disrespectful of the site Moderators, Administrators and/or the Site Owner will be removed, and the member may be subject to suspension of certain rights on the site and/or banning.
  19. Ad Posting Rules:

    • You may post one ad in each section per day. All others will be deleted.
    • A provider ad can be edited for up to 24 hours. After that you must contact the moderator of that section to have it edited.
    • Bumping or replying to ads by a member is not allowed. All bumped ads will be deleted.
    • A provider may not mention BY NAME another provider who has been banned from the site within an advertisement, but they may say "a special friend" or something to that effect.
    • The mentioning of or advertising for sexual activities is not permitted. Any ad violating this rule will be removed, and a warning may be issued.
    • Additional Advertisement posting guidelines that the moderators will enforce are available by [ clicking here ].
  20. In an effort to make the chat room run as smoothly as possible for everyone we would ask you to take notice of the following rules:
    • Sending uninvited private messages is very disruptive for people using the Java interface because their cursor automatically transfers to the new message window making it very easy to send personal information to the wrong person by mistake.
    • Typing in capital letters is regarded as shouting and is considered to be rude. Please do not type in capital letters.
    • Abusive or derogatory language towards other room users will not be tolerated. If you are having a problem with another room user then please report this problem to a chat room operator. Do not take it upon yourself to retaliate by returning the abuse or you too will be removed from the chat room.
    • If you wish to engage in a private conversation with a provider in chat, you MUST ask to go private first in the "public" chat window. If you do not ask to go private, it will result in you being removed from the room.
    • The posting of e-mail addresses, telephone numbers or any other personal information on yourself or another member in the main chat room window is not allowed. If you must pass information to someone then please do it in a private message and/or private chat window. Violators of this will be removed from the room.
    • Sitting in the chat room posting the same or similar messages over and over again is known as 'trolling'. Trolling is detrimental to the overall chat and is annoying for people trying to use the room. Please do not use the chat room to troll messages.
    • Using bright colors for your type is very difficult to read and can even cause headaches for people with vision problems. Please choose one of the darker text colors to avoid this problem.
    • Posting chat logs on the site is deemed a violation of privacy, and no different than posting private messages on the site.
    • If you are going to be absent from the chat room for a period of one hour or more then please quit the chat room. Any nicknames idle for a period longer than one hour will be removed from the room. Time spent in private chats does not count towards idling time.
    • Please don't try to poach other chat room users to join you on another website and/or messenger service (e.g. Yahoo Messenger, MSN/Windows Messenger, or AIM) and leave Indys chat while doing so. There is no issue in going to a private chat on another website and/or messenger service, or even a webcam session as we do understand the "marketing" nature of this site. Just don't take the whole show on the road.
    • We do not allow people to use the chat room for commercial advertising of any kind. This applies to everything from the promotion of other escort / provider websites to individual pay per view webcam sessions. Anyone found advertising a commercial activity will be permanently banned from the chat room.
    • We do not allow people to stay logged into chat for long periods of time without being there, (lurking). Due to the nature of our site, lurkers would effectively be monitoring chat in the room in which they were lurking, and we will no longer allow this activity, no matter who you are. Admin, Super Mods, Moderators and Ops incluted. Violation of this will result in getting kicked or banned from the chat room, further violation will result in being permanently banned from the chat room.
  21. reserves the right to update these guidelines as required; it is your obligation as a registered member/user to review these guidelines from time to time.

It is illegal to copy any part of this website, including but not limited to usernames, avatars, pictures and postings or messages as it is a clear copyright violation, all rights are reserved.
